Common Acupuncture Insurance Questions

Acupuncture liability coverage from Beauty and Bodywork Insurance offers coverage options starting at $43/month. Alternatively, an annual payment option is available for those who prefer to make a single lump sum payment for 12 months of coverage. Starting at $499 per year, selecting the annual payment option allows you to pay for the entire year upfront, and results in a slightly lower total cost over 12 months compared to the monthly payment option.

For those who offer professional services beyond traditional acupuncture, there are additional policy endorsement options available. You can purchase a cupping endorsement for an additional $35/month, which covers some forms of cupping therapy. Additionally, if the spa or salon where you are working is requesting a Certificate of Liability (aka, a COI or Additional Insured endorsement), this can be added to your policy for only $15 per location. These options are outlined in greater detail during the application process.

Each policy is different, but the standard acupuncture policy includes General Liability Insurance, which insures for things like slips and falls, or a client getting injured if your table breaks during an appointment. It also includes Professional Liability Insurance which insures you in the event you make an error or omission in your services which leads to a client's bodily injury, such as a client suffering unexpected bruising or excessive bleeding during your services.
