Washington Massage License Guidelines
To become a massage therapist in Washington, you must obtain a massage therapist license from the Washington State Department of Health. This license is required to practice massage therapy and needs to be renewed annually. To apply for a license, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete a board-approved massage program, including at least 625 hours of education and training
- Pass the Jurisprudence Exam
- Pass the MBLEx Exam
- Be CPR-certified
- Pass a background check
- Pay the application fee
